GORDON MATTA-CLARK & POP.L

Gordon Matta-Clark and Pope.L explore the contradictions of urban life through performance, film, drawing, and multimedia, challenging ideas of architecture, language, institutions, and value. Grounded in failure, this exhibition and its accompanying catalogue examine social, artistic, and structural breakdown as well as the possibility of hope.

Featuring an introduction by curator Ebony L. Haynes and a conversation with Pope.L and Hamza Walker, the publication explores the artists’ shared approaches and the potential of failure as an artistic medium.
